NE 50th St Mailbox Cluster Box Unit Knocked Down

UPDATE April 8, 2021: The new cluster box unit (CBU) was installed on Thursday, April 8, 2021. All new keys have been distributed to the 15 households with boxes in this CBU. The postal service will come out soon to install new locks in the parcel boxes. Contact the HOA if you have any concerns.

UPDATE April 6, 2021: The new cluster box unit (CBU) is scheduled to be installed on Thursday morning, April 8, 2021. There will be a 1-2 day disruption in mail delivery while this process takes place. HOA Board Secretary, David Schott, will distribute 3 new keys to each household with a mailbox in this CBU on Thursday afternoon/evening.

UPDATE March 26, 2021: The new cluster box unit was delayed in shipping due to weather-related problems. It is coming from Manhattan, Kansas, and was in Commerce City, Colorado, as of March 26, 2021. Once it finally gets delivered to our installer in Issaquah, it will hopefully be installed within a week. Thank you for your patience.

UPDATE March 19, 2021: The new cluster box unit has shipped from the manufacturer. It is scheduled to be delivered on 3/24/2021 and will hopefully be installed within a week of arrival.

UPDATE March 2, 2021: The HOA accepted a bid on the replacement of the cluster box unit today. The motorist who hit the box has agreed to pay for the full cost of replacement. It will likely take 3 - 4 weeks before the new box is installed.

On Friday, February 26, 2021, a motorist who was traveling westbound/uphill on NE 50th St was temporarily blinded by the bright sunlight causing them to veer off the right side of the roadway and strike the mailbox cluster box unit that is located at about 16314 NE 50th Street.

Please email the HOA if you have any questions or concerns.

2021 Annual Meeting Information and Official Ballots

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Board of Directors is conducting the 2021 Annual Meeting by mail this year.

If you have opted to receive HOA notices by email, you will receive an email with an Official Ballot attached. If you receive your HOA notices by U.S. Mail, your Official Ballot will arrive in the U.S. Mail (they were mailed on 2/13/2021).

These ballots are your opportunity to vote to approve or reject the HOA budget plan, and to vote for the position of the President of the HOA Board of Directors.

Limit one ballot per household. The ballot you receive from the HOA is unique to your household. Please do not vote using a copy of a neighbor's ballot.

If you need a replacement ballot, please reach out to the HOA.

The HOA must receive your completed ballot by March 1, 2021, and the Ballot ID printed on the bottom of the ballot must be readable, or the ballot will not be counted.

Instructions for returning completed ballots are printed on the ballot. The results of the election will be posted on the HOA website soon after March 1, 2021.

Below is a list of documents with information that would normally be presented at the in-person annual meeting. If you have any questions, please feel free to email the HOA.

2/1/2021: Updates to the Architectural Control Committee (ACC)

Cathy Kopp's and Hong Sodoma's terms on the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) were scheduled to end in February of 2021.

No other members stepped forward to serve on the ACC, so both Cathy and Hong agreed to serve new 3-year terms.

On February 1, 2021, Board Secretary, David Schott, nominated both Cathy Kopp and Hong Sodoma to the ACC. The Board of Directors voted unanimously in favor of those appointments.

Cathy's and Hong's terms on the ACC run through February of 2024.

Thank you, Cathy and Hong, for being willing to serve on the Architectural Control Committee.

By HOA rules the ACC should be comprised of 3-5 members. There are still 2 vacant spots on the ACC. If you would like to help out by being on the committee, please reach out to the HOA. No special expertise is required to be on the committee.
