Please slow down and use caution when driving in our neighborhood.

With the arrival of nicer, spring-like weather there are more people out walking and kids playing in their yards and on the sidewalks and streets.

Please slow down and use extra caution when driving through the neighborhood and keep an eye out for younger kids who may dart out from their yards chasing after a ball, etc.

Parents, please remind your kids to be mindful of the traffic around them when they are out playing. We lost a mailbox to a collision last week, let's not lose a kid.

Thank you!

WARNING: Mountain Lion spotted in Marymoor Hill

Please be aware that a Mountain Lion (aka Cougar or Puma) was roaming in the back yard of a Marymoor Hill Division 1 home at 8:00am today, Friday, July 17, 2020. The home is located in the 16400 block of NE 50th Street.

A Mountain Lion is potentially very dangerous. Please be careful out there and keep a close watch on your pets and children (and adults!). Please do not leave sources of food outside your home such as dishes with pet food or bird feeders. Ideally keep your garbage can secure inside your garage if possible.

This has been reported to the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife (DFW). Sgt. Kim Chandler of the DFW requests that anyone who sees this mountain lion report the exact location to the DFW as soon as possible.

Sgt. Chandler adds, "Also, I know there are deer in the neighborhood so encourage homeowners not to feed them or encourage them to hang around as they are the #1 food source for these cats."

For the sake of expediency, if you see a mountain lion in the area you may report the sighting to the Washington State Patrol -- (425) 401-7788 or (360) 596-4000. Emphasize that the DFW instructed you to report the sighting to them ASAP.

Marymoor Hill 2012 National Night Out

On Tuesday August 7th, the Redmond Police Department is asking neighborhoods to participate in the 29th Annual National Night Out against Crime. The police department, fire department, city council, mayor, and others will attend parties between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. They ask citizens of Redmond to turn their porch lights on and come outside to take a stand against crime with your neighbors.

All over the country there will be thousands of crime prevention block parties, cookouts, ice cream socials, dessert parties, and parades. Other neighborhoods will be hosting flashlight walks, safety fairs, poster and essay contests, and neighborhood meetings. This event is fun for all and gives criminals a "Going Away" party by showing the strong stand our community takes against crime. Our Marymoor Hill neighborhood has registered with the Police Department to participate in this event this year.

Beverages will be supplied by the Marymoor Hill Neighborhood Association. Please feel free to bring a dessert to share. We will have plates, napkins and utensils. We will meet from 6:30 – 9:00pm in the 164th Court NE cul-de-sac. Everyone is welcome – bring the family!
